Graspop Metal Meeting larger than life!

We’ve erected a second main stage so the Graspop skyline will look slightly different this year. Standing shoulder to shoulder, Main Stages 1 & 2 will create a 100m-long frontline of metal mayhem! As a result, Marquee 2 has been decommissioned after 15 years of faithful service and Marquee 1 will now simply be known as the Marquee. Another novelty this year is the large covered area in the main festival arena with a WiFi hotspot.

Two main stages also means an additional headliner per day! Friday’s headliners are Avenged Sevenfold and Sabaton. On Saturday 28th June, Volbeat will round off proceedings on Main Stage 1. The headliner for Main Stage 2 will be announced shortly. Black Sabbath and Megadeth will close the festival this year.

The Metal Dome is traditionally the place to be in the Metal Plaza if you want to let your hair down and sample some of our brewers’ finest products. By day you can check out some of the festival’s smaller acts but at the stroke of midnight, the Metal Dome is transformed into a metal temple where the music doesn’t stop until the wee hours of the morning. The RedBull Bedroom Jam and the Top 100 Countdown take place on the eve of the actual festival, on Thursday 26th June. Go to http://www.graspop.be/en/events for more details on both events.

As of this year, a new open air stage in the Metal Plaza will showcase fresh talent and we’ve also erected a rock dive called the GMM Classic Rock Café, where you can have a cold one or two while listening to non-stop classic hits and video clips.
